RCV Discount Policy

We are attempting to stay in business and  to provide a service to those who love paddling and outdoor adventure.   We set our prices lower that any canoe rental in Parke County.   We will only give a 20% discount to: Church Youth groups, School Youth groups, and Girl & Boy Scout youth groups.   And, only if more than 5 watercraft are rented by only those groups.  Prior arrangements and a reservation with Credit card deposit must be made in advance by the above listed Youth Groups to receive a discount.

We rent Canoes, Kayaks, and Tubes. Camping and on site rooms are available !

Our canoe livery  featuring trips on the Big Raccoon Creek is located  at creekside in Historic Old Mansfield Village (Parke County). Our base camp is at the Mansfield Guest Inn (b&b). You may begin your trip just a few yards from the Covered Bridge and 1830 working Grist Mill. Big Raccoon Creek in Parke County  is a managed waterway for the 2060 acre Cecil M Harden Lake (Raccoon Lake) . The spillway is just 3 miles above our docks. There is always an adequate flow of water through a pastoral nature setting. More water will help ensure that your canoe trip will be a fun and safe experience. During the summer months the water is shallow enough to let you wade if you choose but deep enough to provide a true canoe experience. Our canoes are either aluminum or fiberglass and will accommodate two adults and a child or third adult. One and two person Kayaks were added to the inventory during the 2007 season. Rubber tubes also are available for a casual float down the creek.

Explore Big Raccoon Creek, stay overnight at the Mansfield Guest Inn for one price. Call for reservations or click for details. Save on the price of the room when you reserve a  canoe or kayak in advance. (more...)

The Mansfield mill dam provides a great place to take a quick swim at the start or at the end of your canoe trip. It was built just after 1900.
